This is our first home security system purchase and after getting a few qoutes locally decided to go DIY. Lyric has impressive looks and great range on the wireless sensors (used all SIX sensors). Programming was intuitive, quick and easy. I purchased the Lyric starter kit with cellular module as well as three smoke detectors and one more motion. I like the fact that when one of the smoke detectors trips it sounds on each smoke detector as well as the main console. ATT cell service in my area (Denver) is weak but had no problem with the cellular communicator. Signal strength was more than adequate to work reliably. Great installation experience. Tim at SHC was very helpful pre-sale and was the same tech getting my alarm monitoring activated. Highly recommend Lyric for DIY.

I now see why dealers consider this the best security system on the market. Very easy to setup and has the most wanted features already built-in such as WIFI and home automation. The Alexa like ability to arm by voice is nice but I use the real Alexa with our Total Connect 2 app to arm and get status. Hard to not like Honeywell.

Way easier to program than my older Vista hardwired panel which was very difficult. The Lyric is pretty intuitive. The company (SafeHomeCentral) also offers free programming but I wanted to do it myself and just have them check things over. I already had a slew of 5800 wireless sensors which worked with Lyric so a great upgrade system. I didnt have Total Connect 2 with my Vista and rather than upgrade the PROM on the motherboard thought it was time to just modernize. The TC2 app is great by the way!

Very happy with my purchase. Wanted something with LTE cellular and this kit had the module included which was a plus. Added five more window sensors plus two motions and a wireless glassbreak. Fairly easy setup especially working with Chris on the phone to handle some of the programming. Controlling everything from my iPhone is great and I was able to integrate the system with Alexa as well in the home. Sweet!

Pretty easy to install (did it myself though had SafeHomeCentral check settings) and only took a few hours overall which included five doors, two motion detectors, and one smoke detector. Will add a z-wave thermostat next month and maybe some lights but wanted to “break in” the security side of Lyric first. The Total Connect 2 app for my phone (iPhone) and wife’s (Android) work flawlessly. Very easy to arm and disarm from anywhere.

Spent an hour on the phone with Chris at SafeHomeCentral going through all of the latest wireless security systems and their features which was crazy helpful. Decided on Honeywell’s Lyric which had the features built-in I wanted (WIFI, ZWAVE) so I could control lights and my home temperature on both floors (ordered two ZWAVE thermostats). This was the kit I purchased which included a cellular card which was nice. Mounting the devices was a breeze and Tim programmed the panel remotely while talking me through the options over the phone. This was also crazy good. I’m pretty handy, but had little desire to spend a lot of time reading the installation manuals , unless absolutely necessary 🙂
Happy with my decision picking Lyric and SafeHomeCentral. Easy for my wife and daughter to use especially since we each have an app on our phones to control everything.
